Farmer from a young age, Armand Landry becomes entrepreneur in 1996 as a truck driver in the forestry industry. In 1976, he founded A.L.P.A. Equipment Ltd to meet the growing demand for parts and services to support the forest industry. Over the years, the company with its head-office in Balmoral, has grown and now operates four branches, three in New Brunswick (Balmoral, Fredericton and Edmundston) and Nova Scotia (Truro). The rapid growth of the company assisted in becoming one of the largest dealers of forestry and construction equipment in eastern Canada. The company's reputation as a family business allows it to keep a personal approach while being very professional.
The Landry family continues to progress and put forward new projects as seen with the addition of its associated company A. Landry Fabrication Limited which specializes in the manufacturing and assembly of heavy machinery and OEM accessories since 1988. This new addition has quickly been able to make a world-class impact on the industry with the design, development and production of a new tracked harvester amazingly economical and efficient: the Landrich.
Today, A.L.P.A. Equipment Ltd offers a variety of forestry and construction equipment in addition to provide a full scale parts and service department with an exceptional after-sales support.
